Propylaia and Temple of Athena Niké

A propylaea, propylea or propylaia (/ˌprɒpɪˈlə/; Greek: Προπύλαια) is any monumental gateway in Greek architecture. Much the best known Greek example is the propylaea that serves as the entrance to the Acropolis in Athens.
